Your DnB Report – A Business Credit problem from a client

I got an email from someone who purchased my ebooks and since i am always answering questions and helping others in the credit business here is one question that i think will help others also! Clients Email: One thing I am having trouble with is understanding the report. As I said before I am not sure which one is reporting. I have received credit from 4 companies listed in the e-book . Seton, Usplastic, global industrial, uline, and quill. All orders were less than 50.00. Im not sure what to do. DnB report I will post what it says below: TOTAL LARGEST % DAYS SLOW TOTAL DOLLAR HIGH W/IN RCV’D AMOUNTS CREDIT TERMS <31 31-60 61-90 91+ —– ————– ———- —- — —– —– — # $ $ % % % % % Total in D&B’s file 2 300 250 Payment By Industry: 1 Non-classified 1 50 50 100 – – – - Other Payment Categories: Cash experiences 1 250 250 Payment record unknown 0 0 0 Unfavorable comments 0 0 0 Placed for collection with D&B 0 0 other 0 N/A The highest “Now Owes” on file is $50 The highest “Past Due” on file is $ 0 AND REPORTED PAYING HIGH NOW PAST SELLING LAST SALE RECORD CREDIT OWES DUE TERMS WITHIN 06/09 Ppt

50 50 -0- 4-5 Mos 12/08 (002) 250 1 Mo Written by E ——————————————————————————————————————————————– Response: Ok, Basically just two of your companies reported. There is a “Now Owes” for $50 and a “Cash Experience” for $250. This is the deal; we know that all your orders where lower than $50 but Dun and Bradstreet will only allow companies to report a minimum of $50, so one company reported a $50 trade. There is no way for us to know which one of these reported the $50 since all of your orders are $50, BUT, we can figure out who reported the $250. Basically you have 4 companies that you did business with and spent less than $50 on all so the $250 trade is a company that is reporting the size of the credit limit that they gave you. What you can do is call those four companies and ask them what is the size of your business credit limit. Which ever one tells you $250, you will know that they are the one that reported. It will kinda suck if more than one gave you a $250 limit, lol, but that’s highly unlikely. Marc Happy Business Credit Building
