Best Links in Money and Investing – Back to School Edition

Another week of great reads.  These are entries from blogs I frequent, and I hope you will too ( just come back! ).  I’ve also included various finance/investing carnivals that published my material this week as well as my posts within my network since the last weekly links. This week’s edition coincides the start of the 2009 school year and (the horror!) a presidential speech to kids.  While I’m not aligned with many of the administration’s policies being enacted/proposed now, I don’t think Obama intends on “radicalizing” little Johnny via a speech to school children.  The speech was to be made available to parents in advance and was to be based on doing well in school and listening to your teacher, etc. and not about the redistribution of wealth and “free” health care for all.  I think when all is said and done, people will look back and say all the hoopla over the speech from the president was rather silly.  He is the President of the United States after all.  Past Presidents have delivered the same school-age speech with no meaningful criticism.  As long as he keeps it on point, which I trust he will, our children will not be “brainwashed” – don’t we have parents to explain things like this to our kids anyway?
